Nola Aronson, M.A., CCC-A
Nola received a bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Hartford in 1975 and taught until 1981 with many types of disabled children. She then received her Master's Degree in Audiology from California State University, Long Beach in 1982. Nola holds certifications of clinical competence from the American Hearing and Speech Association and the American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed by the state in Audiology and hearing aid dispensing. She has practiced Audiology in Los Angeles County for 35 years, 30 of those have been in the Santa Clarita Valley. For several years, she served as Director of Audiology at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Van Nuys. She moved to Santa Clarita to raise her family in 1986 and soon joined Randall Bartlett, M.A. at Audiology services of Newhall. Since then she started 2 other businesses and now goes under the DBA Advanced Audiology. In 2017 the business grew tremendously. She purchased Audiology Services of Newhall and Audiology partners of Mission Hills and has locations in Mission Hills and will be opening in Northridge by December 2017. She has been the teacher of many successful audiologists over the years and her staff has grown to 12 people as of 2017. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Audiology, American Hearing Aid Associates, American Speech and Language Association and California Academy of Audiology and the California Speech, language and Hearing association. She is a member of the California Academy of Audiology and, as a member of its board of directors, represents audiologists throughout Southern California.
Nola is also a philanthropist and each month takes 10% of her hearing aids sales and donates them to a different nonprofit each month. There are about 100 nonprofits and they all need help. As a breast cancer survivor she does 2 events with the Circle of Hope, the Michael Hoefflin association, the Alzheimer’s association, the Veterans and boy scouts, Soroptimists for the education of women, domestic violence, Toys for tots and in 2017 made a sizable contribution to the new senior center building and her business will have a room named after them. Nola's group does Free hearing screenings for the community to educate people regarding their hearing. This year they are reaching 1500 free screenings compared to last year 1000. Nola and her business has been awarded Community Champion by the Chamber and best business of the year 2015. From the Valley industrial association, she was nominated rising star in 2015 and is up for best business this year. From the Elite magazine she was awarded best female business entrepreneur of the year and this year top 51 in the health care category. Also, she won best business woman of the year from the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. Nola's motto is she loves to help others in any way she can to lead better social lives and be able to communicate better in all life situations.
Ginny Veloz, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Ginny Veloz is the director is Audiology at Advanced Audiology. She received her B.A. in Psychology from California State University Northridge in 1993, her M.A. in Communicative Disorders from California State University Los Angeles in 2000 and her Au.D in Audiology from the University of Florida in 2003. She began working in corporate Audiology in 2000 where she stayed for 5 years before joining Advanced Audiology in 2004. She works in all facets of Audiology including audiological evaluations, vestibular testing, hearing aid dispensing and aural rehabilitation. She has experience treating patients with hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness. When not practicing Audiology, Dr. Veloz enjoys hiking, working out, watching movies and cheering on the Denver Broncos. She currently resides in Santa Clarita with her husband and their fur babies.
Dr. David Hsu Au.D.
Dr. Hsu has been with Advanced Audiology January 2015. Dr. Hsu was brought on to focus on diagnostic testing, especially with pediatric patients and for dizziness and balance.
Dr. Hsu earned his Bachelor of Art from California State University- Northridge and received his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Northwestern University in 2011. As part of his residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in the Hearing and Balance Center, he treated patients both young and old. Outside of the ear and hearing, Dr. Hsu is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and an aspiring chef.
